Lutherwood seeks Pastors or Church Leaders to serve for a week each summer. Join us a for a week of faith, rest, rejuvenation, and fun!

Resource Pastor/Faith Leader Responsibilities:  

• Be active in an intentional Christian community for a week

• Be at camp by Sunday afternoon to lead a brief worship and serve communion to prepare staff for the camp week

• Lead brief daily devotions for staff. Please guide them into scripture or topic studies that would strengthen a young adult’s faith. Challenge them, surprise them, surprise yourself, be creative!

• Contribute to morning Chapel time (for example, give a short message after the skit related to the theme of the day).

• Make yourself available for staff or campers that may have theological questions or need prayer and encouragement. Also, you can be a resource to the campers if they have questions or need encouragement and prayers.

The rest of your responsibilities can include participating in activities, leading crafts or another activity of your choice, and helping out with service projects. We also want to make sure you make time for some fun for yourself and your family, including swimming, boating, or any of the other wonderful options on site.  If you are our Resource Pastor during Family Camp – you will be leading the Adult Bible Encounter (Bible Study).

Your compensation for this week of service:

• A week’s stay in Spirit or Lakeview Lodge for you and your immediate family

• Meal service Sunday supper-Friday lunch (3 meals a day)

• A time for you to get away and experience the joys of camp
